This is another recipe based on Ani Phyo’s Raw Food Detox – specifically the “Green Mar-Tea-Ni” recipe. I can’t recommend her book or this light, sweet smoothie enough.
- 1c green tea
- 2 handfuls spinach
- 1 apple
- 1 c water
- (Optional) Ice
- (Optional) Cinnamon
Directions: Brew the tea, let it cool, or add it in hot for a warm treat. Slice apple, blend all ingredients together and enjoy!
Options/tips: The real question here is if you want it warm or cool, if the latter add ice. Based on quickness, I’ll just brew the tea and add it in hot. Add cinnamon for an even more warming feel.
